Chief Executive

Raymond Garrand, Chief Executive, DFEESTRaymond Garrand is the newly appointed Chief Executive of the Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology.

Prior to this Raymond had 4 years experience as Chief Executive of the Department of Trade and Economic Development.

Mr Garrand is an Honours Economics Graduate from Flinders University and has served on the Higher Education Council and Education Adelaide Board for several years and been actively involved in various other boards including working with the Economic Development Board.

Mr Garrand has worked for nearly two decades at the highest levels of Government in Australia with experience with the Department of the Prime Minister and Cabinet in Canberra and as an economic advisor to Governments in South Australia and Queensland and therefore brings a strong business and industry focus to his current position.
