Quality assurance processes

The quality assurance processes have been designed to assist applicants through the specific individual phases of the enquiry, application, evaluation and funding deed processes, thus leading to, and enabling, compliance with the program requirements. Part 4 demonstrates the rigor involved in the evaluation and approval of applications at State and Commonwealth levels. Part 5 provides successful applicants with a full insight into contract development and management requirements, and expectations by the State.

The quality assurance processes consist of five parts:

Applicants must be aware that funding approval is derived from two key program processes:

  1. Rigorous State Evaluation and Prioritisation Processes to ensure that all applications meet program guidelines leading to state endorsement
  2. National Evaluation and Funding Approval Processes by the Commonwealth where successful applications are approved for funding.  When South Australian applicants have been informed that their application is successful, the successful applicants will be requested by DFEEST to provide all outstanding guideline and Quality Assurance requirements not presented as part of the application to date. Examples of such requirements include the Transfer of Assets clause in the organisation’s constitution or the provision of a signed Memorandum of Understanding with a training provider as described in Part 5 of these Quality Assurance Processes.

Applicants are encouraged to review and be versed with the contents of the Quality Assurance Processes and be able to meet the requirements of the program guidelines. This will ultimately lead to the submission of a Quality Assured application.  Knowledge and subsequent compliance with the contents of the Quality Assurance Processes will be a fundamental requirement, leading to the state endorsing applications, and possibly a successfully funded application from the Commonwealth.
