An eligible job seeker is an Australian citizen, or permanent resident living in South Australia, or humanitarian refugee, over the age of 17 who is seeking, or intending to seek, paid employment or self-employment after completing the qualification.
This includes individuals who:
- have an active registration with a Job Services Australia (JSA) Provider; or
- are an income support recipient not currently required to meet activity test or participation requirements; or
- are a participant in the Community Development Employment Projects scheme; or
- are not currently working and seeking or intending to seek paid employment or self employment after completing the qualification; or
- are a participant in the Commonwealth’s Access Program; or
- are not working and participating in volunteering activities.
Workers who have been retrenched or have received formal notification of retrenchment are eligible for the Program.
