Productivity Places Program
The Productivity Places Program (PPP) is part of the Australian Government’s Skilling Australia for the Future initiative. The program will provide additional training opportunities to assist Australian workers and job seekers to develop the skills they need to be effective participants and contributors to the modern workforce. The training places will be delivered in response to skills and occupations demand identified by industry.

The programs are administered by the South Australian Government by Department of Further Education, Employment, Science and Technology (DFEEST).

PPP consists of two separate programs:

Job Seekers Program

PPP for Job Seekers will provide opportunities for job seekers to raise their skill levels and gain recognised qualifications. The new training places will lead to nationally endorsed qualifications at a Certificate II level to Diploma level.

View more information about the Job Seekers Program.

Existing Workers Program

PPP for Existing Workers is a jointly funded industry, South Australian Government and Australian Government initiative to raise the skill level of people already in the workforce to address the skill demands in industry sectors.

The Program funds complete nationally endorsed qualifications at Certificate III, IV, Diploma and Advanced Diploma.

The next allocation round for Existing Workers commences on July 1 2009. All proposals are due COB 5th August 2009.

Priority skills, qualifications and occupations

The Program funds complete nationally endorsed qualifications.  The Priority Occupations Productivity Places list is used as a general guide on priority qualifications that will be funded.

See the Priority Occupations Productivity Places list.
