The status of broadband across South Australia

Much of South Australia already has access to broadband service, either through ADSL, fixed wireless, mobile broadband (3G or 4G) or satellite.

DFEEST aims to maximise the number of premises accessing broadband through fast, reliable services such as fibre, ADSL2+ or fixed wireless.

The National Broadband Network (NBN) program aims to connect 93% of Australia with fibre, 4% with fixed wireless and the remaining 3% with satellite services.

The NBN has already begun rolling out in South Australia with Willunga being one of the first towns connected.

For more information on the NBN and the next areas to be rolled out visit the NBN Co website or the Department of Broadband, Communications and the Digital Economy website.
