Graduate development
As a DFEEST Graduate, you will participate in two rotational placements across DFEEST and TAFE SA. This exposure and variety of work will enable you to gain a better understanding of the organisation and the various projects and program areas that each directorate or TAFE Institute is responsible for.
These rotational placements enhance graduate development through:

Exposure to DFEEST’s numerous roles within the South Australian community
- Encouraging a broad understanding of the opportunities and challenges that impact DFEEST
- Developing networks across DFEEST
- Gaining an understanding of the public sector and how government works.
This is a comprehensive graduate development program. Graduates complete a fully-funded Certificate IV in Government through TAFE SA, which complements their practical work experience and provides a deeper understanding of the public sector.
Graduates also participate in monthly DFEEST Graduate Awareness Sessions, where DFEEST Executives and senior staff present on core business and key issues within their area.
To increase knowledge transfer and development opportunities, graduates will also be introduced to senior DFEEST employees through a mentoring and peer support program.
